Options
The Aureus couch is individually custom made to the specification that best suits your environment and personal needs. Below are the options available for the couch, with the cost for the item in the price list.
Wood
Upgrade to American Black Walnut or Cherry.
Polished Veneered Base
Option to have a polished veneered base, shown here in Cherry.
Leather
The Aureus is made in Ultraleather™ with a vast range of colours to choose from. You can upgrade to Elmosoft, luxuriously soft Swedish leather which is available in 80 colours. See Materials for details.
Height Options
The Aureus is available in a choice of 4 fixed heights: 635mm/25”, 686mm/27”, 737mm/29” and 787mm/31”. However, the legs can be custom made to individual heights at no extra charge. Due to its unique construction, the Aureus naturally compensates for uneven floors up to 7mm thus avoiding the need for unsightly floor levellers.
There are 3 types of height adjustments available for the Aureus:
Electric driven Hydraulics. The electric option consisting of a powerful hydraulic piston in each leg maintaining the aesthetics of the Aureus massage couch. There is also the option for a battery pack and will have sufficient power to drive the couch for a full day in a commercial environment.
Hand Crank drive Hydraulics. The hand crank simply lifts the couch using a handle that folds under the couch when the operation has finished.
Manually Adjustable. This option is available to clients who require partial adjustment by setting the legs to the desired height prior to turning on to its feet, or by having a second person carefully lifting one end at a time and then setting the legs to the height markers on the steel shafts, ensuring they are all on the same line number. (Please note: The couch is heavy and will requires at least 2 persons to set the height.)
Metal finishes
The Ferrules at the top and bottom of the legs, Side Armrest Locating blocks are polished natural brass and will acquire a patina over a period of time. The side Armrest Location Arms are fashioned in stainless steel and polished as standard for both. Complete Polished Stainless Steel is also available as an optional extra.
Foot Extension
Adds approx 152mm/6” to the length of the couch and neatly lowers under the couch when not required.
Protective bag
A set of 5 protective padded bags are available to prevent damage when storing on board yachts. Not available for hydraulic couches.
